CSI: American Carnage (Wednesday, November 5, 2019)
NEW YORK – The guard stands patiently while Paul talks on the telephone. Paul says, So get Porsohenko back in there. We need to, hold on. Paul cups the receiver in his hand and turns to the guard. He says, Yes? The guard says, Excuse me, Mr. Manafort, I have Mr. Parnas on Line Two. Paul says, Okay. Tell him I’ll be on in a second. The guard says, Yes sir, and withdraws. Paul returns to his conversation. He says, We’ll try to bring Yuri back, too, but it’s going to be difficult. Hey, look I gotta go, I got the Little Bird on the line. He hangs up and punches a button. Paul says, Levie boy, what’s going on with my guy? I hear you wanna sing. Levie, Levie, Levie. Not a good plan. Lev says on the phone: I’m a serious individual. I deal straight with Mr. Guiliani. I deal straight with the others. I’m honorable. I agree to a job. I’m paid. I do the job. Paul says, Hey, guy. Of course you do. We love you, cupcake! You are a big man, a man to be reckoned with. Mr. Giuliani loves the work you do and so do the others, including the Big Nugget. I love the work you do. But I gotta tell ya, guy, there is some criticism out there about singing to Shifty and his associates. Lev says, I am very upset by the Big Nugget’s plainly false statement that he does not know me. Paul laughs. Ha ha ha. Levie, Levie, Levie. You know the Nugget. He has his way with people. Just because he says something doesn’t mean you turn around and sing to the feds. The Nugget sees the value of your work. He understands your relationship with Mr. Giuliani. He just called and said, Lev did great work. Great work. Everybody says so. Plus, guy, I just got off the phone with Dmitro. Lev says, Really? Paul says, Sure. Sure. And Dim says, We got a great deal for Levie. All he has to do is stay the course. Mr. Giuliani was just on the line before that. Lev says, If he wants more dough, forget it. Tell him to deal with Dmitro directly. Paul says, Now now, Levie, that’s not a line of talk I want to hear, Okay? Geneva is interested in your situation. Geneva is interested in the needs of the village and the cousins. Geneva is interested in your brother-in-law who’s such a serious problem for you. And Geneva wants to make that gas deal, okay. But Geneva may lose interest. You don’t want that to happen, do you? That wouldn’t be good for Levie. Or anyone who knows Levie, now would it? Lev says, Respect. That’s what’s important. Respect. And I want that fee, the fee that Mr. Giuliani grabbed. And the other one, the big one, the one grabbed by Mr. T…. Paul interrupts. He says, Whoa! Levie. We are not going there on the phone. Text me, okay? Lev says, Yeah, sure. I text you. I text you good. He hangs up. Paul shouts, Guard! The guard rushes in. Paul says, Get me Mr. Giuliani on Line One. Now. Yes, sir, Mr. Manafort. Right away, sir. — Wednesday, November 5, 2010
