CSI: American Carnage (Tuesday, October 22, 2019)

IN THE CYBER – A series of poisonous, razor-sharp tweets ricochets off the polycarbonate-coated doors at the entrance to the Furry Underground and then drop into a growing pile of untreated waste labeled #ClintonBodyCount. Little Timmy, pup reporter, and the Professor’s small strike force peer out from their niche onto the carnage. Timmy shakes his head and says to Sarah, his friend from the resistance pot luck: It looks like a lot of furry fans didn’t make it. Timmy sadly shakes his head. Sarah says, This isn’t over. Maybe the ones that didn’t make it are the lucky ones. The Professor overhears her and says, We can’t have that kind of talk, Sarah. All of us need to pull together. In the distance the grotesque figure of Gruccifer 2.0 towers over the landscape, stomping on small houses as though they were made of match sticks. The figure, which now takes on the aspect of a Fanged Biden with sharp nails, looks at the lavender sky and howls. Timmy looks on. Oh my god, he says, will you look at that! Sarah turns and watches as a second massive figure rises from behind a small hill. She says, Of course. It’s the Diapered Anomaly! The two entities see each other at the same time. Both screech. The Professor says, It’s deafening! Sound rattles the countryside, allowing many orange and green plushies to get up and make it into the Furry Underground. Fawns and does that had been frantically seeking escape from the Fanged Biden now easily lope away. The two enormous figures square off and approach each other. The Professor says, It is an inevitable confrontation. Timmy says, You mean they’ve been seeking each other out? Sarah says, There can be no question. The autocrat needs to create his own opposition. Then he works out his narrative of victory. He triumphs over what he has created. Timmy, looking on as the two massive figures circle each other, says, This has terrific destructive potential. Sarah says, It is typical confusion conjured up by the autocrat. Timmy says, Professor, why don’t we just ignore it? If we ignore this titanic battle, we can continue on to the backchannel and, hopefully, return to Ohio. The Professor says, Ignore it? Sarah says, It is conceivable as a short term tactic. The autocrat may become confused at being ignored, confused and enraged. He would perhaps commit some serious unforced errors. The Professor says, Interesting. Timmy, good idea. Alright. Let’s try it. The strike force begins to move, once again, toward the forest. – Tuesday, October 22, 2019
