CSI: American Carnage (Tuesday, February 19, 2019)
WASHINGTON — Okay, Stevie, Donald says, let me show you how it’s done. Donald pushes the remote and his Miami remarks roll. Donald says, Gimme the curly fries and the dip, okay, and watch this, because they are eating out of my hand, and guess what – they are eating a lot. Donald on the teevee says, Thank you very much. The fact is, you’ve seen the crimes and you’ve seen the corruption. You have seen the hunger and the suffering. You have heard the anguished pleas for help. You have protested, and protested with respect, but loudly. And you have prayed for the day we can now see, which is just ahead — the day when all the people of this region will at last be free. The audience breaks out in chants of USA! USA! Donald smiles. He points. He looks behind him, as if seeking something that is just out of sight, as if he is talking about something deeply familiar that no one else can speak of with authority. He points at the camera. He says, As we meet today, the people of Venezuela stand at the threshold of history, ready to reclaim their country and to reclaim their future. Not long ago, Venezuela was the wealthiest nation, by far, in South America. But years of socialist rule have brought this once-thriving nation to the brink of ruin. That’s where it is today. The tyrannical socialist government nationalized private industries and took over private businesses. They engaged in massive wealth confiscation, shut down free markets, suppressed free speech, and set up a relentless propaganda machine, rigged elections, used the government to persecute their political opponents, and destroyed the impartial rule of law. In other words, the socialists have done in Venezuela all of the same things that socialists, communists, totalitarians have done everywhere that they’ve had a chance to rule. Donald pauses the teevee. He says, That’s the key thing here, Stevie, key thing. They are losing. The guy in charge, what’s his name? The guy in charge is robbing people blind. He’s telling the legislature to fuck off. He’s using the army for his own whims. He’s an abuser, Stevie, an abuser. And debt, Stevie, debt like you can’t believe, and the lies! Lying to his own people! Really disgusting. They needed me to focus on it, like I haven’t got enough to focus on, right. Stephen says, Sir, you are an unbelievable focuser. You cut right through them. You directed their attention to what needed to be attended to and turned it away from all they didn’t need to pay attention to. Donald says, The peoples of the Venezuela, they’ve had enough. They’re begging me to step in. I gotta step in so many places and then this McCabe moron. Stephen says, We’re going to take care of him, don’t worry about that. Donald says, Worried? Why would I be worried? NO COLLUSION! Don’t forget one simple thing. Stephen says, What’s that? Donald says, The biggest abuse of power and corruption scandal in our history, and it’s much worse than we thought. Andrew McCabe (FBI) admitted to plotting a coup (government overthrow) when he was serving in the FBI, before he was fired for lying & leaking. @seanhannity @FoxNews Treason! Stephen says, It’s a conspiracy so immense! Donald says, These people are morons. But they don’t know shit. Stephen says, No. Donald says, Remember this, Andrew McCabe didn’t go to the bathroom without the approval of Leakin’ James Comey! Stephen snickers.
