CSI: American Carnage (Thursday, Aug. 1, 2019)
Chris says, They were sparring early on. I thought Joe showed he could take the shots to the body. Can he go 15 rounds? We’re gonna find out. But it seems like he’s done some training. Joy says, There were no knock outs, Chris. I thought Vice President Biden showed stamina. He absorbed the blows and came out of his corner with some good counterpunching. Brian says, They were circling each other, sizing each other up. Biden took some powerful shots to the body, but he didn’t falter. Chris says, Harris had some decent one-twos, but she couldn’t deliver the knock out blow. She had Joe down on the mat last time, but she couldn’t finish him off. Joy says, I’d say Booker landed some strong punches, and I think he may be seen as a real contender now. His jab was consistent and effective when he used it in combos. Chris says, Is Biden the Great White Hope? Joy says, Those days are gone, Chris. The country’s far more diverse now. Chris says, What about all those Obama fans? They can’t be happy the way their guy was pummeled tonight. He’s not even in the ring! But everybody’s taking shots at him. What about Trump? He’s lumbering around the ropes but nobody touched him. Joy says, That’s right Chris. They beat up on Obama and he’s not on the card. Chris says, But Joe, let’s be fair, Joe kept the gloves up. He deflected most of the shots. They never landed a straight shot. Brian says what about Booker? I think he’s made a case for himself as a contender. In fact, Harris was a little bloodied – she may hsve slipped a bit on the canvas and Booker saw that opening and stepped up. He seems ready. He can move into the top tier. One other thing. Personally I think Gillibrand is a sleeper. She chose her spots and came out with some good jabs and a wicked right cross. Joy says, That’s true, Brian.
