CSI: American Carnage (Monday, March 9, 2020)
WASHINGTON – Betsy adjusts her face mask and looks across the conference table at Ben. Ben leans back, his gas mask perfectly set in the center of his face, it’s tubular snout reaching down almost as far as his hands crossed over his chest. Betsy says, There is no reason to be uneasy. Eric has neutralized Michigan and we have encouraging reports from the schools in Seattle. They are shutting down, one after another. Soon the entire system will collapse and there is nothing the teachers or their devil union will be able to do about it. Our providers from the private sector are eager for the opportunity to go in and root out the rest of the inefficiency and corruption. They are even afraid to walk the streets in Seattle. She chuckles and takes a bite from her petite four. Ben seems to listen. He leans back even further in his chair and turns his head toward the ceiling. Ben says, The thing that needs to be understood is that we are working very hard, looking at all the evidence on a day-by-day basis, making recommendations based on that. The plan will be in place when it is implemented. But I don’t — I don’t want to preview the plan right now. I think it needs to all come from a solitary source. We shouldn’t have 16 people saying what the plan is, particularly when it hasn’t been fully formulated. Betsy says, Eric has surveilled and his people have identified various isolated bottles of sanitizer and they have been instructed to act accordingly. Ben slumps forward. His eyes are invisible behind the smoked lens of his gas mask. He says, We ask people to sanitize their hands and to take various types of precautions. So the president does that. I know the vice president does that. We all do that. And if we’ve been mingling with people obviously we’re going to take those precautions. Betsy says, Did you spray down after CPAC? Ben leans back. He says, I did. And so did most attendees. Cruz, didn’t. Gosar. A few others. I’ve recommended, and the president has agreed, to introduce clean room protocols here at the White House. He has approved implementation of federal standards in accord with ISO 14644. The ability to produce, maintain, preserve, and react with a clean president, the president says, is paramount for the achievement of our goals. We are pushing for, and the president supports, ISO Class 3 standards for the Oval. He wants 1000 micron-size particles or less. That’s what we’re shooting for. Betsy blows her nose, adjusts her mask, and finishes her petite four. She says, Eric’s team is mopping up in Seattle and will be heading south into California to enforce the president’s protocols. He’s already inserted his people into the CTA. They are boring from within. He’s already got quite a few grad students on the payroll. They’re handling individual union efforts at the so-called colleges. Soup to nuts. Ben chuckles. Betsy says, The devil unions are going to fall, they are rotten, and Eric assures me they will bring down everything around them.
