CSI: American Carnage (Monday, December 16, 2019)
WASHINGTON – A figure dressed entirely in black, face darkened with charcoal, sits in a broom closet on the second floor of the West Wing. He whispers into a small microphone. Whale Watch One to Whale Watch Two do you read, over. There is silence. Whale Watch One to Whale Watch Two do you read, over. A voice crackles through the tiny transmitter. Whale Watch One, we have you. What’s happening, over. Moby is inside the lounge, over. Do you copy? The crackling voice says, Copy that. Where is Flipper? Is Flipper with Moby? The figure says, Negative, Whale Watch Two. Flipper not anywhere on second floor. Suggest check-ins with other units. over. Whale Watch One, roger that. Whale Watch Four and Five, Flipper Two, Willie Six, Seven, and Eight. Are you there, over. A chorus of affirmatives crackles through the transmitter. This is Whale Watch Two. Any sightings of Flipper, over. Another voice crackles. Whale Watch Two this is Willie Six, over. Whale Watch Two to Willie Six. I read you, Willie Six. Go ahead. Over. Willie Six says, Flipper seen around 2100 in company of short guy with flat top. No fenders. Terrible haircut. Flipper dressed casually. Wearing Who Cares? sweater, bunny slippers, sweat pants. Over. Flipper sitting on short guy’s lap. Flipper bored. Over. Willie Six, this is Whale Watch Two, Flipper in company of some congressman Moby wants. Any sign of wild eyed guy with unruly hair, several shirts, bad smell, over. Willie Six says, Negative, Whale Watch Two. No wild guy, over. There is a crash and much muffled shouting from the Executive Lounge. Whale Watch Two, this is Whale Watch One, Moby still inside the EL. Shouting something. Hold on. He’s shouting, My gut wants out! My gut wants out! Over. Whale watch One, this Whale Watch Two, Copy that. Is he actually doing anything? Any communication with outside parties? Over. Whale Watch Two this is Whale Watch One, Negative on that. So far, Moby sticking to script. Looks like we’re okay tonight, over. Whale Watch One, this is Whale Watch Two, Do not let down guard.
