CSI: American Carnage (Sunday, August 18, 2019)
IN THE CYBER – Little Timmy , pup reporter, turns away from the Diapered Anomaly, which is slathered with green ooze squished from the insides of countless newsbugs. Sarah, Timmy’s friend from the resistance potluck, says, The autocrat, no matter his form at any moment, either does not care about our disgust, or he relishes it. This is the paradox of the autocrat. He is either indifferent to the havoc he creates or he embraces it completely and seeks to create even more. They look at the Anomaly, now completely covered with lurid ooze. Timmy says, That’s revolting. It is shameless. The Professor removes this pipe, uses a fuzzy wire to clean the bowl, and then thoughtfully begins to fill it from a pouch of Prince Andrew. Oh Timmy, he says, of course it is shameless. There are some people who we could label or describe as sociopaths or psychopaths who actually have no shame. They are not able to think about the consequences of their actions. They’re not able to empathize with others. They are not able to feel guilt. These sociopaths and psychopaths can say whatever they want because they have no shame about their behavior. Timmy says, Gee, Professor, aren’t shame and guilt kind of like regulators? Sarah says, The autocrat feels neither shame nor guilt. He seeks only to rid himself of the ooze. He simply denies what is in front of his face – there is no ooze. The Professor says, Well put, Sarah. If he denies the reality of the ooze, does the ooze seek to exist? Do his worshippers see the ooze and simply don’t care? Or do they not see ooze at all? Sarah says, They may be blinded by the rhythmic orality, the endless repetition and the repeated denials. The Professor says, We simply don’t know enough. Boris, genial triple agent, says Thees ees ridiculous conversation. We just kill it, okey dokey? Mohammed, Timmy’s friend, says, Killing is wrong. Sarah says, It is self defense. Suddenly, there is a great ripping sound. Red light fills the sky. The Diapered Anamoly looks up and slowly fades, ooze and all. The Professor says, Something is happening! The landscape begins to shake and giant spiders fill the sky. They are spinning webs. Sarah says, Look, there is the head of the autocrat! It appears to be caught in a web being spun by that spider who looks a lot like Obama! They watch as the Obama spider spins his web ever tighter around head of the autocrat! The Professor says, Oh my goodness! Conspiracy theories! Cover your ears everyone and head for the caves before we are trapped! – Sunday, August 18, 2019
